An original vintage Penguin book, Ariel by André Maurois a fictionalised biography of poet Percy Bysshe Shelley. Beautifully framed.
Penguin Books were founded in 1935 and known for their iconic design of two solid bands of colour sandwiching a band of white. The most common was orange for Penguin's fiction, green covers for crime novels, pink for travel and adventure, dark blue were biographies, red for drama, purple for essays, and yellow was for miscellaneous.
At Mr Black Cat Smokey we have sourced the most sought after titles, framed them, with a high quality mount and wood box frame. They look fabulous in a set, on their own or as part of a mixed wall gallery. Please request frame and mount at time of booking;
